Always a Coog and thank you for his sacrifice. Congratulations well deserved!
Tremendous accomplishment for Derek.
He’s in the NFL history books as a drafted player. No one can take that away from him.
Congratulations Twinmom! You raised a fine young man and I will be rooting for his success in the NFL.
Four guys of Dana’s team drafted. Great job CDH and staff coaching these guys up. Also, thanks for the last two years recruiting that are 2 of the best over the last 10 years.
Things are looking up. Go Coogd
NFL return men: “I’m skeered.”
Marcus Jones: “You should be.”

So proud/happy for Derek getting drafted! He & Clayton were roommates/UH FB fraternity Brothers and now NFL fraternity Brothers! What an awesome journey!!
Sur your proud righfuyso, Probably broke a couple of buttons off your dress shirt I’m sure, congrats to you and your talented and fine son.
Tunemom, I am also very happy for Clayton; I have a lot of confidence in him.
He got a good landing spot. Gets to live in Florida and play with Lawrence.
We lived in Jax when my husband was stationed at Mayport in the early 90s. Jax just got their NFL franchise the last year we lived there and the town went nuts buying merchandise!!
JAX = God’s Waiting Room
Derek is going to be a fan favorite in Jacksonville. He has the potential to be their JJ Watt.
Giena, what did your husband do? I assume he was in the navy, being stationed in Mayport. When we came back from Viet Nam we stopped in Mayport to let off the air wing before going to the Norfolk Naval Shipyard for repairs. The Norfolk Naval Shipyard was actually in Portsmouth - weird.
He spent 10 years in the Navy and 14 in the Army. Both aviation. In the Navy he was an aviation machinist mate and and aircrewman. Also earned his air warfare specialist wings.
He was ADC(AW)
Norfolk NAS was our first duty station
