Isn’t Derek a junior?
Yes, thanks to the COVID free year. Otherwise he would be a senior. As such, he may graduate next May and decide to go pro. He may have already graduated. Then again, he may not. But, if he has a standout year and looks to be drafted, he would probably go that route. I know I would. He redshirted in 2017, played in 2018, 19, and 20. Playing 4 years in college is enough for most kids.

Any interest in getting his master’s? Would love to have him for another two years.

Reading wiki I found out Simon runs a BBQ restaurant in the small town of Fort Morgan in northern Colorado.
Maybe its the romantic in me but it always makes me smile when a guy goes off to have a pro career and settles in the same area where he played. Just to see people happy with the road life led them down and not feel the need to live in LA or Miami reminding strangers in bars who they are every ten minutes.
