That’s wild.

But I don’t follow the “indoctrination” reference in the title. Never mind - I see now that it was kind of in the vein of “hazing” I guess.

“This was a coordinated and highly-profitable drug-trafficking crew revolving around two senior members of the fraternities, other fraternity brothers, and pledges,” Mr. Sunday said, adding that cutting and packaging cocaine was, for some pledges, an indoctrination into the fraternities.

Daddy must not have been able to afford the good lawyer.

This explains Penn State football’s abysmal season last year.

They take their white-outs seriously.

The article says, “Sigma Chi is not a recognized organization and operates outside of the university’s support and oversight.” That is not true, Sigma Chi, founded in 1857, is well represented across the U.S. Per Wikipedia, " Sigma Chi (ΣΧ ) is one of the largest North American social fraternities. The fraternity has 244 active undergraduate chapters." I remember when I went to LSU, Sigma Chi was one of the top rated fraternities.

I hate it when papers publish articles and don’t have their facts strait.

The article just says that Sigma Chi is not recognized at Penn State, which is accurate.

  • Sigma Chi Fraternity:
Previously suspended through August 1, 2024 for failure to comply with a directive or condition and other University policy violations. Chose not to return and the organization operates independently.

That was a quote from Penn State talking about Sigma Chi at Penn State and not something nationally.

The UH chapter got shut down a few years back for hazing.
