I do not believe this but here is the article.
It’s an opinion piece and not a source so it’s fine… I’m sure plenty here have a similar opinion. Samson is old, it’s only natural to speculate that he’ll retire
Right not exactly a bold take, “Older coach may retire sooner rather than later.”
Having that opinion is fine, but when someone words it as “he’ll move on” rather than “retire,” it’s obvious that person doesn’t know much about the situation. This isn’t a guy who’s dialed-in to the program or family - he’s just looking for clicks.
moving on is retiring from coaching basketball
It’s typically used to describe when someone “moves on” to another job. If he intended to say “retired,” then he would have used that word. Instead, he’s trying to make up for having no information by going with something else.
I’m moving on from whoever this guy is, but I’m not retiring from reading actual news and journalism.
If he does retired in 2 years and moves on to another job it won’t be as a coach, i can see him being great as a tv analyst. The man would be 70+ at that point.
He also owns a big farm property in NC where he can fish.
The man will be 71 years old. I would retire too.
Let’s send him out a champion. I personally think he would have retired if we had won the chip.
There’s a plan for Kellen to take over, nothing even noteworthy from that entire article, the guy took a guess, that’s it. Kelvin will call it a day whenever he feels like it. Could be after next season or we could be discussing a new contract in 4 years.
Bunch of wasted words. Doesn’t mean a thing.
Did we ever got details of the new contract for Kelvin and his staff ?
Mr. Souza wants clicks. He has as much insight with our program that I have. “Move on”? What is that supposed to mean? To another program…p2 program to fit his espn employer? CKS last stop is with us otherwise he would have never re-signed. This click bait articles mean nada.
John “The wizard” The GOAT Wooden, ncaa or NBA retired at 65.
Krzyzewski retired at 74
Roy Williams retired at 70
If we get two years, great!
I’m thinking about writing a piece like that on Coach Cal.
The sports world is ruminating in people who couldn’t play the game but who want to be the first to predict something. I’ve never slept with Sophia Vergara. But every day I wake up and post something on Tic-Toc about who her new lover is.
I really think Kellen will keep the train rolling fine, not only because Kelvin will stick around but also because the same concepts and style of play, which make our teams so successful, will still be in place. Not, to mention, Kellen is a great recruiter.
That article has more baseless conjecture than the Milos thread.
When can he begin to collect SS ? ? ? ? ?
You earn maximum Social Security benefits if you delay retirement until age 70. Every year you delay retirement until age 70, you earn an 8% increase in your benefit.
See how hard it is to tell when someone’s joking if the joke’s not funny?.. at least there were a couple of emojis there
It appears that some college or some Texas coaches are worring about our recruiting prowess now. They are trying to slow it down.
