I donāt think Sampson expects him to return, but I have a hunch that our major NIL supporters would make it happen if he decided to wait another year to enter the draft.
Low-key im glad he left. We need a post up scorer at the center position if Tugler is returning. Anything Tugler gives you as a post up player is a plus. Cenac is never going to be a post up threat so is better for him to start his NBA career!!!
Have to find a way to draw more fouls for free throws and easier points.

Gillespie is not a developmental guy, heāll be up there with Jojo at the top. Good enough where we may have deprioritized Dawes as an option.

What did Uzanās say last year? Everyone WANTS to go to the NBA, but some decide it makes more sense to wait after they get more info.
Anyway, as I said, I donāt expect him to return, but it isnāt because of his draft announcement.

I would be happy with just Burton and Gillespie committing this weekend. Both have high upside. Gillespie was the feature player on his team and takes some of the rebounding load off JoJo. Burton is a PG who has the potential to be the leading scorer in any game, facilitates, drives to the hoop, gets fouled, and is a an 80%+ FT shooter. For PGs, I always look at turnover ratio. Last two seasons Burton averaged 2.6 and 2.7, which is typical for a high volume ball handler.
If Burton and Gillespie commit, perhaps UH takes itās time with the rest of commits filing up the roster. The third and fourth commits will likely be coming off the bench, and lots of good players in the portal can fill that role.

I donāt know if he had a social media post but recall seeing more media or maybe joprior23 saying he was considering a return. He also wasnāt solidly 1st round pick so makes sense to more publicly keep the door open. This is what I could find after quick search.
