I do remember it came down to BYU and UH. I was bummed when he committed to BYU. Then I saw him play twice against UH and became happy again.
Our OFFENSIVE REBOUNDING DROPPED OFF THIS COMPARED TO OTHER YEARS
soooo, no booms?
…hmm ![]()
innerestin’…
If this is true, I wonder who called who first…was it CKS & Staff to TArc or the other way around?
I thought so too, but the numbers don’t agree. ORB per game the last 4 years
2026 12.8
2025 12.8
2024 13.4
2023 12.8

Need a Boom hit
The issue is we got outrebounded in more games than last season. Rebound differential was worse this season.
More of an iso guy! Dedan better assist and creator!
This is probably a better metric of what we all saw with our eyes, the OR% and DR%
From top 11th or better every year in Offensive Rebound % to 30th. 30th is still excellent, but that is definitely a dip.
I appreciate you digging up stats! For the last eight or 10 years, I’ve spent a lot of time tracking during the season our important stats! You can go look this up I might be wrong. Let’s say up the last over the last five or 10 years, Houston what’s consistently ranked in the top 10 in offensive rebounding in the nation per game.COOGS WERE 36TH IN OFF. REBOUNDING PER GAME THIS YEAR. That maY mean other teams got better rebounding which slid us down. We are still very good at offensive rebounding, but are not ranked as high compared to other teams over the last 5 to 10 years. Feel free to to check it out and let me know what you find out.7
Houston will start to beat up a lot teams on the boards again next season. You aren’t going to get a ton of rebounds when your best Rebounder Cenac is shooting 3’s and fade away jump shots. On top of that, we were playing Sharp at the 3 so we didn’t have a big wing to crash the boards either.
That changes next year. Diane, Tugler and Gillespie will all be low post scorers and we are going back to a nice sized wing in McCarty who I hope uses the baseline to set up for corner 3’s and then crashes the offensive glass the same way Taze Moore did for us so successfully.
Would love us to bring in another big wing that can help us in this way coming off of the bench
We were 36th in OReb per game last year, and 38th the year before. Using per game stats can be deceiving, since we play a slower pace than almost everyone. As in there are fewer possessions per game when we play, our “per game” stats get a bit skewed. Looking at stuff like per 100 possessions or stats like offensive rebound % are better measures, imo.
Why are you yelling at me? I just said that.
I’m just a harmless little man engaged in sparkling conversation.
It still only comes out to about 1 extra possession per game…

Didn’t know I was yelling
Switching to a different subject has anybody heard the results of Corey Hadnot’s visit supposedly yesterday
