I know people at Wake. Juke was never coming here.
Future Coog one and done……Bishop will get him bigger and stronger but his game is sick.
Great!
I think everyone is sleeping on the Dedan Thomas Jr pick up. A lot of that probably has to do with him coming off of an injury plagued season. Can’t wait to see how he looks running our offense
I think he will be great on offense, I’m mostly curious how his slight frame will fare in our defense
Probably more to do with the fact that he passed on us two times in the previous transfer cycles.
His era should’ve began a long time ago, and he should be much better often than he is
I just don’t really understand how someone can be bitter about him not coming sooner. If he had, then Houston would have never had Uzan and maybe not even Flemings. It worked out for us well
I don’t think anyone mentioned the word bitter. That’s an assumption that you’re making. I described it more like unenthused or unimpressed. We’ll wait to get excited about him.
Also, before his injury he was trending up in a big way and playing for a pretty awful team at that. Really only has one bad game vs Florida where he was coming off an injury and started on the bench. Every other game he played in he was very good. Now he’s gonna have to learn the defense because holy hell LSU played an awful passive zone defense. Watched a few clips and it was awful on the eyes
My #1 priority for Dedan is to stay healthy the entire season. He missed 7 games in 2025 for UNLV with a shoulder injury. In February 2026, his season was cut short at LSU with a left ankle injury. After the season, he had surgery to repair his ankle. I hear his recovery is going well and he should be ready to go this season. If Dedan stays healthy, I am not worried about the starting PG position. UH needs to develop a capable backup PG to be able to rest Dedan.
Is that an 11 jersey he’s wearing??? Is JoJo changing numbers his last season? Asking for a friend ![]()
He also missed 5 games shortly before the ankle injury. I don’t think it was related to the one that ended his season
PG is the only position where I’m concerned with depth. Hadnot’s been asked to step in every now and then, but maybe Kordel will finally get some minutes as well.
Was it an ankle injury…?
I read it was a foot injury… scar tissue that had to be cleaned up.
He had a foot injury earlier in the year but the one that put him out for the year was reported as an ankle injury. It’s possible they were related
So, if the timeline is correct he’ll be healed just in time to be introduced to Mr. Alan Bishop.
In an interview about a week ago he said he’s just about to be cleared for all activities l…
