Is there real reason to believe Miller is all that much better than Barnes or Smart? Neither of those guys was exactly a slouch, either.

So far Rodney Terry has a better winning percentage than Millerā¦
Remember Miller had to play in last year and was made to look a lot better than he was by Tramon Marchā¦
And then they got as far as we did.

Yes - but only if you count the partial season when he took over for Beard. If you donāt count the games he was coaching someone elseās team then Miller has the better winning percentage

We all know Terry isnāt as good as Miller as a coachā¦ but their winning percentages at Texas donāt represent thatā¦
Most overrated of all of them is Shaka Smart imoā¦ and he got 6 seasonsā¦

I do not know how good or bad the coaches are, but do not underestimate the entitled culture that being a player at Texas has on a playerās psyche, made worse by throwing NIL $$$ their way.
Some players are looking for a payday and lose that drive and fire to get better.

UT finished 10th place in the SEC this year. If Sampson did that then this board would have had a meltdown. And yea they had a little run in the NCAA Tournament because our former Houston Cougar who should have stayed and got drafted years ago carried them in a few games against mediocre teams
I think a 3rd year guy with real minutes in the Sampson defensive system has a bigger advantage/fit for our team than most other players we could pick up, even though they may be objectively worse on paper

Use your head and realize where Sampson started at Houston a decade ago and where the coach at UT starts from. Money has never been their problem. Sampson is still asking for money after everything heās done

They made the S16 in their coachās first year. Iām pretty sure our fans wouldnāt have complained about that.

Miller has coached one season, lmao, IDGAF what the winning percentage is after one year. Miller is a better coach.

Our fans would not be happy going 9-9 in the SEC. Glad their fans can be happy with how their season ended. Houston is one of a few programs where when your NCAA run ends in the Sweet 16 it can leave a bitter taste in your mouth. But their expectations are not our expectations, I get that

this place would call for kellen to be fired if he lost 14 games in his debut season even if he salvaged it with keeping the S16 streak alive
