Possible opponents for last 2019 game

I understand that an FCS opponent is also possible, and there’s always a chance that a school will move an existing 2019 game to accommodate us, but as it stands, here’s every FBS school that has at least one opening on their 2019 schedule.

Miami
TCU
Florida International
Florida Atlantic
UAB
Kent State
Eastern Michigan
Louisiana Lafayette

That’s it.

We need a home game, and in September we only have September 7 and 21 available, which complicates things.

Of the three P-5 candidates:

I know they’re giving Boise a home game, but I’d be stunned if Florida State gave us a true home game. And they already have a road OOC, at Florida.

Miami has two slots to fill, and already has two home/neutral OOC games.

TCU is looking to fill the season opener date (8/31), and they already have a road OOC, at Purdue.

Of the G-5 candidates, ULaLa already has games on 9/7 and 9/21. The other candidates are meh.

Not ideal to leave it this late, but let’s see what Pez comes up with.

it will be tsu again more than likely. if not them then definitely a FCS school.

If we could pull Miami, that would be nice.

Florida State or Miami would be great.

If Kiffin is still at FAU, that would be an interesting matchup and good for schedule strength.

FAU isn’t going to want a 3rd road non-conf game in a year they’re at Ohio State and UCF. They’ll get an FCS at home for their last game.

I’d float a four game deal with Miami. Two at UH in 2019 & 2026 and two at Miami in 2025 & 2027.
