The ultimate trap game almost happened. The UH team realized at 1:00 in morning why they were in Corvalis and started to play football. They definately did not want to give Tech film and put the offense in basic mode. OSU’s run game is legit, they have just gotten behind early and never had the opportunity to show it. Murphy is definately not worth $1.5mil.

Their run game has been sh*t against everyone they’ve played except Fresno and UH. Our DL is why their running game finally looked legit unfortunately.

I also think we have to give credit to Oregon state, they were playing hungry and desperate. They should have won that game, but we showed resolve and got out of a 1AM game with a win.
Now we have momentum and show we can come back. Next Saturday will be crazy!!

247sports has Oregon State ranked higher in roster talent than UH, which probably is the reason they gave us problems.

I was wondering if OSU and their fans were talking crap to us during the game for us to behave like that. That is a very un-Fritz coached team behavior.
No doubt about that. Their backs are definitely against the wall. Bad Special Teams play has now caused at least two of their losses. Thank God their ST is that bad or we might be singing a very different tune right now.
I mentioned it before the game, but in their game against Fresno, Oregon St had almost 600 yards of offense to Fresno’s 280 but still lost because of repeated ST blunders. And we all saw the game Friday night.
To our credit we took advantage of those mistakes, stiffened up on D in OT, and showed them how to kick a FG for the win, something they failed miserably at in regulation.
I feel bad for their fans. They and Washington State have really been through the ringer, and were left behind holding the bag to basically rot when the rest of the Pac 12 abandoned them. The really sad thing is both of them had better football teams than several of the teams who were picked up by the Big 12, Big Ten, and ACC. Life in college football isn’t fair (Coog fans know that better than anyone), but they’ve gotten the royal screw worse than anyone.
