Always good to get a win, even if it was when you played pretty crappy for 90% of the game. Won’t have that luxury next week, play this crappy and Tech will have the have in hand at half time.

Also finger pistols on the winless team is something I don’t love. Gives me Archie vs. SHSU vibes

Yea. I wish we wouldn’t do stuff like that.

I mean Garza walks off Tech next week. Fire away, but not winless Oregon State

Nah best thing about PAC 12 after dark is no one on the East Coast is still up

I hope Nagle keeps this game fresh in his memory all season. The way he changed up the game plan in the 4th saved us. It’s how we should be playing on offense most of the time in most games. Our players actually looked like they were made for that style. Can’t play “not to lose” without even being up. Gotta be aggressive until it’s safe to take your foot off the gas a bit.

Uptempo drastically changed our offense

Play up tempo and get ahead, then run it down their throats when you’re up to get TOP

We really need a pre game thread, a game time thread, and a post game thread for all games!

Never a doubt.

The teams that crushed OSU played tempo style offenses.
That is not our identity. And I’m not sure it would work all four quarters for us (CW looked a bit nervous at the start and the OL was getting beat by the OSU pass rush).
But changing to tempo when we did sparked the team. Maybe try that change a bit earlier when you don’t get a first down for an entire quarter.
But CWF and Co. found a way to win. And that matters most.

Wasn’t pretty but going multiple time zones for a late Friday night game against a decent crowd was never going to be easy. Will take it! Hopefully TT and their NIL doesn’t roll us

Win against TT and we are ranked. Simple as that

Win vs TTU and we have a damn good team. Gonna be tough as i dont think the offense is there yet.

So credit the team for coming back last night. I really thought we’d run away with it but credit OSU for making it a dog fight.

I’m less optimistic about next week because our lines struggled against a team that was basically air against TT’s lines.

To use a basketball term, defense travels and OSU didn’t even contest TT’s DL — it was 35-0 TT when 3rd and 4th team reserves went in and OSU started moving the ball, giving up 10 more points before managing two TDs late in the 4th for the 45-14 final. That game wasn’t even as close as the final.

Can we somehow manage to move the ball next week against their starters? I’ve gotta believe last night happened because the team was looking ahead and prepping for next week instead of OSU.

But good teams find a way, and that’s what we did. Much bigger effort needed to even keep it close next Saturday. But it’s at home and we always have a chance at home. Maybe we catch TT looking ahead.

I think there times in a season when teams start to improve. I think last night OSU came out and executed what their staff wanted. I think they’ll get better as the season goes on. I just hope the same for us.

I think specifically it is the offensive line with their injuries that isn’t there.
