Michigan State, Tier 4? They had some decent years with Kirk Cousins at QB. Maybe just don’t have the resources to compete with Ohio St, Michigan, Penn St, USC, etc. Just curious.
Houston, Tier 3…not with our current finances. If Dana stinks this yr, he doesn’t get canned cause of his buyout? Then we should be Tier 4
The football facility isnt completed yet. The NIL is still a work in progress. I think we have Tier 3 potential. I would have us at Tier 4 currently, imo

I think our potential, being located in arguably the best recruiting hotbed in the nation, and the fact that we’re in a power conference makes us a candidate for tier three. It’s a pretty good job, better than many in the ACC, Big 10, and even some in the SEC.

I’d say Nebraska and Utah are a tier too high but otherwise I don’t have too many issues. Good list. We will always possibly lose a coach to the tier 1 and perhaps some of the tier 2 but we will no longer lose a coach to a Baylor type school.
Middling P5 is about right.
Oklahoma is a tier too high.
Washington State is a tier too high
Northwestern… 
I’m REALLY hoping Dana shocks the world this season and we have more depth/talent than anyone is realizing!

Three UH HCs had seasons with 10 or more wins over a ten year period. Each got a P5 job shortly after arriving at UH. That shows a coach can take the UH job, expect to recruit very well, and be successful.
What coach would look at that and not think its a great opportunity?

Honestly, I am surprised UH is as high as it is. Recruiting area had to play a big factor in the rating. Moving to a P5 conferenced didn’t hurt either.
Yeah the only reason we would be this high is because Big 12 and our location.
That being said - Michigan St should be higher

Based on this, should we assume that all G5 jobs are Tier 7?
Depends if the Big 12 is considered G5 or P5
