I think BYU has a high ceiling. Hopefully they can achieve it.

Baylor just has so little coming back it’s hard to know.
I think Arizona has talent, but also gets some votes for name recognition

Here’s an interesting stat for you guys. The preseason #1 and #2 have played for the national title 5 times. The preseason #2 has won all 5 meetings, with the most recent match up coming in ‘21 between Baylor and Gonzaga.

So we’ve got nonconference games with 14 Arkansas (AWAY), 18 Tennessee (HOME) and 20 Auburn (BIRMINGHAM).
We get the following in conference
BYU 8 - AWAY
Tech 10 - HOME AND AWAY
Arizona 13 - HOME
Iowa state 16 - AWAY

KST ORV - HOME
Baylor ORV - HOME AND AWAY
Half our conference schedule (9 games) did not receive votes.

Iowa State Vet School ranked way too high, otherwise I am okay with the list.
Tennessee (Las Vegas, NV) and Arkansas (Newark, NJ) are neutral site games.

Since 1985 the preseason #2 team has won the most titles with 6. 4 different rankings have won 5 titles, #1, #3, #6, and unranked. Being ranked in the top 6 seems to be a fairly good indicator as there’s a sharp drop off after that
