Hoping Thurman get’s playing time tonight. Making roster is going to be tough, but he fits the scheme well. Better than Christian Covington. haha
So, this is neither here nor there, but I didn’t want to start a new thread. I just saw this on ESPN:
They seriously set O/U and lines on preseason games?!? Who in the world would bet on the outcome of a freaking preseason game???

People who vacation in Vegas once a year in August? Which is a questionable practice in itself what is it like 105 degrees at night there this time of year?
Thanks Patrick for putting this together. Nice to see so many pro coogs this time of year.
Given their current places on the depth chart B-Wil lining up against Ayers is a possibility tonight.

One of Dunbar’s catches was a heads-up play that bounced off a teammate. Made NFL Network highlights.

Yep, missed that, but updated it. He caught 3 passes for 24 yards on 3 targets.
Thanks for catching that.

Patrick, I always appreciate your updates across the various sports.
Just for purposes of total “box score” accuracy, Ayers was also involved in several punt return for minimal yardage. It’s a good sign if they are looking at him as a punt returner also. Ayer’s versatility may help him get a spot on the active roster.

I really did drop the ball on Ayers this week.
You’re correct in that he had 5 punt returns for 3 yards. He was the only punt returner for the Bears which may be a good sign.
Thanks.

Stats from Last night:
Case Keenum - played 2 series, went 1/4 for 5 yards
D’Juan Hines - made 3 tackles
Updated from the other night:
Cam Malveaux - 29 snaps on defense, 10 on special teams, no stats
On D’Juan Hines, from Bleacher report “The 1 UDFA Turning Heads in Every NFL Team’s Training Camp”.
The LB out of Houston has had a nice camp so far, and I could see him sneaking into a weak position group," Michael Peterson of Inside the Pylon wrote.
Don’t be surprised if Hines does indeed sneak onto the Chargers roster as a reserve linebacker and special teamer.
