We had the “what other teams do you root for?” thread, this is the opposite. What teams do you root against that have nothing to do with your UH fandom? (Obviously other former SWC schools and Memphis are excepted from this.)
Like any good American, I’m a hater of Bama and Georgia and Clemson. Also Liberty. LSU’s gotten real hateable lately too. Hopefully some of y’all have more creative answers than I do.
What do you not to like about Clemson? Just curious since they are small school that became a power house under Dabo.
I don’t like Notre Dame!
I visited their campus, and the vibes were bad. Did not like it one bit.
I absolutely hate Ohio State! Them and their fanbase are a midwest version of Texas.
Texas, Ohio State, and Notre Dame are my top 3 in that order. They all feel they are entitled to get whatever they want.
Wouldn’t call them small.
They are the land grant university of SC, and have an enrollment of almost 30K.
Gotta go with Boo-hio State as well

I used to dislike LSU a ton. Happened to interact with a lot of very obnoxious tshirt fans. Then I realized the tshirt fans of every school tend to be the worst, and met some cool LSU alum, so now I just have them in the neutral zone.
TCU, Baylor and Texas Tech.
Don’t think we’ve played anyone them enough over the years for them to be called a rival…. Yet.
I dislike all of them. And do not cheer or root for them under any circumstances.
Alabama, Purdue, and LSU
I hate Texas worse than any school, and would even if UH had never played them in any sport. Next is Texas A&M. The only time I would ever hope they come out on top on the scoreboard is when they play Texas, and even then, I am not rooting for them.
After that, I would go all schools in the SEC, except for Vanderbilt, and all schools in the Big 10, except Northwestern.
Notre Dame.

Actually we have when you consider our history together in the SWC, as well as matchups against Tech and Baylor that go back to the 1950s.
That said, playing them doesn’t fire me up nearly as much as playing/beating UT or aTm in any sport. They are the true “rivals” in my world.
And now you guys appear to be their new “USC.”
A yearly match up would be fantastic.
Roughly all teams east of the Mississippi River and north of Virginia.
