There’s the staff change many were asking for.

Interesting pickup as he was working for Rick Stansbury at Western Kentucky last year. Stansbury and his staff were able to bring in multiple 5 star rated recruits and have been battling for other top players. Hopefully, White can bring that here.

Should help with the Louisiana recruits.

This qualifies as a BOOM to me. That was the glaring weakness a lot of our coogs close to the basketball program were complaining about. This, and the new beautiful arena under construction, are going to help a bunch. Fun times ahead!

Very interesting that White was brought on as Corey Davis had Western Kentucky on his Final list a few weeks ago and now doesn’t.

The Louisiana native helped assistant Rick Stansbury recruit graduate transfer Pancake Thomas last offseason. White also helped recruit highly-touted Hilltopper signees Josh Anderson and Mitchell Robinson.

More like he was brought in to close the deal with Corey Davis just in time. He has a good relationship with Corey & his mom. And yes, he was recruiting him when he was at Western Kentucky.

More like to upgrade our recruiting in general. And, we’ve had a long history of great Louisiana hoops talent at UH.

Key players like Elvin Hayes, Don Chaney, Louis Dunbar and Benny Anders all come to mind. More recently players like Ramon Dyer, Oliver Lafayette and LeRon Barnes also come to mind.

Yes. I don’t think it’s a done deal he returns. Hopefully, he does.

I like your enthusiasm, Wood; but you’re talking about players who were on campus before I was born. Oliver Lafayette was a Juco kid like Corey Davis, and Leron Barnes & Elton Dyer weren’t highly recruited coming out of HS. I’ve been more impressed with coach White’s resume at Western Kentucky. He got some great recruits to commit there this past year.

I would add they also brought in a Buffalo transfer.
Lamonte Beardon-G who was All MAC.
Two years left after sitting out.
