And, a fine young man, Humble, friendly, and funny. Met him at our NYC alumni party and you cannot mold a better person representing our university!
That is so great to hear, Museum. Firstly, that he came to the alumni party and secondly, your comments about him.
Letâs see. First round choice and âhas surprised many with his overachieving play this yearâ.
Maybe if he had stayed at KU he would have either not even been drafted at all, OR at the other extreme certainly not seen as an overachiever simply because he was from KU. It just seems to be sliiiiiiighlty jaded to think that a first-rounder has overachieved. Wonder why? Hmmmmmm.
I went to a couple of those watch parties when I was living in North Jersey⊠Go Coogs!
Late first round draft picks flame out all the time in the NBA. I wouldnât read too much into it.
NBA first round picks have historically guaranteed very little, even guys picked in the first ten end up flaming out all the time.
And so those that flame out underachieved. But hard to mske the case of one over achieving. Logic 101.
If 85% of first round picks in the mid twenties donât become starting caliber players, the 15% who do would be the overachievers.
Thatâs why prima facie they are drafted in the first round. To meet the expectations of a player worthy of being drafted in the first round.
" While it might be possible for the Knicks to move into the top five, doing so wouldnât be cheap as they would potentially have to part with multiple draft picks in addition to one of their promising young players like Immanuel Quickley, Obi Toppin or Quentin Grimes. Ultimately, a move may come down to whether or not theyâre willing to pay such a hefty price."
Hopefully Grimes gets moved to a team where the coach will actually give him playing time
Grimes played a lot til he got injured.
He was on the bench until January then he got injured again and his minutes got cut again. Knowing Coach Thib he prefers vets but hopefully he plays him like he did in January and February. If not for RJ Barrett Qdot would be starting next season.
Great article. Zero mentions of Kansas to boot.
I hope the knicks know how lucky they were to get him at 25.
Might be a first lol
âAnd Kansas Transfer Quentin Grimes sinks the three!â
âAnd with the steal Kansas Transfer Quentin Grimes!â
