Question About Cedric Lath

Man, I remember the hype around him, a lot of people thought we got Dream 2.0

Depends on what Hakeem they were expecting. Jr. year or pro Hakeem? Obviously not. But fresh out of the cab Hakeem? I can see it.

Because he’s smart. He’s typically gonna play 8 guys. So you have another couple players that could step up in the event of an injury and then a couple that you focus on developing.

I view Lath as important, which is why I started this thread.

Tugler fouls. A lot. If Lath can effectively spell him we are way more solid for March Madness.

Would like to see him get more minutes. Only way to improve.

When he first got on campus, Akeem (at the time) was a raw recruit. You could see the talent was there, but it was not yet refined.

He won’t be playing in March Madness unless its a blowout

Hey Fred, if someone was calling you Greg for a while and you didn’t correct him for a while because you had other business to attend to, would your name be Fred or Greg (at the time)?

He will probably be used more as the Kansas game approaches. We need someone to push Dickinson out of the lane.

I doubt it. The only way he gets into a game other than garbage time is if we are in serious foul trouble, like against OSU. He’s just not ready.

Like Ashraf Amaya with no offensive skills.

Or foul trouble :grimacing:

That’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time.

I watched him play in college at SIU. Good memories.

I haven’t seen him play enough to make an assessment. I trust CKS judgement that he isn’t ready to get meaningful playing time. He definitely has good size.

When I saw Lath enter in the first half I was really excited to see him play minutes against real competition. Not that I expected a lot, just wanted to see his development.

I’m honestly a little shocked we didn’t see him in the second half. It was the perfect opportunity to see him.
