Question on Racquetball v. Squash

Gang,

I’ve only played Racquetball, not Squash…BUT…

I’ve heard a lot of people say that once you play Squash, you won’t want to go back to playing Racquetball.

Any thoughts?

I stopped playing when I cancelled my membership at President and First Lady fitness clubs. I hated both.

Gee.

I like racquetball.

So, do you hate both equally, or do you hate either a little bit less than the other?

Squash was slower and I liked that, but the raquettes are smaller. I played more raquetteball as I played at Hofeinzn’s while at UH.

I don’t actually know the difference. As an adult, I played racquetball once for an intramurals at UH substituting for someone who was sick. We lost, I sucked and have never played again.

Unlike racquetball, Squash is played with a smaller and far less bouncy ball, and a smaller racquet, you have to always hit shots above a line on the wall, and all serves must land in a small box area on the floor.

Also, the ceiling is not in play.

Less speed, but a lot more skill, strategy, precision, and rules.

Anyway, squash will be an Olympic event in 2028.

Is that the first time it will be an Olympic event?

As far as I know yes.
