Great picture stevo642. This illustrates so clearly the impact that “smart media” has had on society as whole.
Not only is she about to get hit but she is completely “out” of the game that she is attending.
The question has to be asked:
Should venues “shame” game attendees like her? By shaming I mean having this picture on the scoreboard and ask the entire crowd “Excuse me miss why are you attending this game?”
What repercussions would that have on people wanting to go to games?
You do not want her to get hit but “Folks as a reminder this could happen to you” The next picture is a bottle of ketchup exploding while she is on her phone.
It doesn’t matter why she attended the game and it is no one’s business but hers and the venues should mind theirs not hers. Her ticket was paid for and the team made their money off of her for ticket and concessions.
There are many women and kids who go to game with family that are not really interested in the sport, but just go for an outing with family or boyfriend. I have seen women knitting or reading at games and thought nothing of it.
You missed my point Mike.
It is a great picture because it illustrates our current obsession with media and the need to be “connected” That is the point Mike.

In light of the Miami condo collapse, that’s a frightening photograph. Not sure that the balconies were designed to hold an extra 10,000 lb of water (my rough estimate based on 5’x10’ balcony holding 3’ of water).
I was thinking the same thing
Especially if it’s an aging concrete building facing the ocean.
Doesn’t that describe a lot of buildings?
Too much typing. Not enough pic posting.
