He said nothing about stars, regardless I hope the kid recovers well as he has a bright future.

A technicality.

Warren McVea was the highest recruited RB in Texas in late 60s. First black athlete recruited by UH. 2nd team All American.

Jeff “The Jet” Bergeron was another highly recruited RB by UH in the 70s. Parade All American. Ranked as the #1 recruit in Texas.

….and the beat goes on.

Another RB worth mentioning that played before the recruiting rankings is Kimble Anders, a star out of Galveston Ball. He was heavily recruited by the big boys.

Anders was inducted this year in UH’s Athletics Hall of Honor, and Anders had a great career with the Kansas City Chiefs. Two-time pro bowl selection and Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame inductee.

Has there been an official report as to just what Hebert’s injury actually is, I mean other than the "lower leg injury?

I bet @monceaux has an idea

He doesn’t like to speculate about injuries

We speak to Willie on Monday - the only time until after a game. At that time, Hebert hadn’t been fully evaluated yet (they wait for the swelling to go down). But he is out for the season, so it’s something pretty devastating.

Will try to find out today.
