“Reason to Believe”

“If I listen long enough to you(pundits) I’d find a way (to believe).”
We need a reason to believe! That doesn’t include major hype before an all important game that falsely raises expectations. It includes putting a stop to “Cooging it”. It includes getting the job done when opportunity presents itself. We let a major opportunity slip away last night leaving us little reason to believe. Why? Because it’s a trend. Every time we get the opportunity to make a statement, it seems like we “Coog it”. It has become our M O.
If we ever want to become whom we wish to be, and get the notoriety which we long for, we’ve got to step, take the bull by the horns and put an exclamation point behind those opportunities in which we find ourselves in! It’s so disappointing to know you have the better team, but fall short during these golden opportunities. If we want to fix our attendance issues, and take our place on the big stage we have to rid ourselves of that dreaded M O of “Cooging it!”

It starts by ceasing to use the term “Coogin’ it”.

This PROGRAM is getting better and better, all the time.

This team has already proven it can play with ANYONE.

Getting over the hump isn’t a matter of listening to all the Monday morning QBs on this message board and second-guessing everything this team does.

Getting over the hump is ABSOLUTELY about staying on track (pace) to get better every snap, every series of downs, every game, and every season.

At some point, all of you who have waited for years to have a championship team will wake up and find we have a Championship Program.

Go Coogs!

Jeez….really sorry you have no “reason to believe “. :joy:

If last nights game was in Houston we win that game….just so happened the two toughest games on the schedule were roadies.

IMO it does not make this any less of a great team….i fully expect them to win out and finish 10-2…with the parity in the conference there could be a two loss team in the Big 12 Championship game.

So I choose to believe in that.

Fans expectations are a bit unreasonable. Last year we won 10 games. But the toughest road game, was at Arizona State vs their backup QB

This year, we played at Texas Tech & at Utah. And we should’ve won both. Shows a lot of growth in this program

I get we wanna get over the hurdle. Like Tech did last year.

Willie has built this program into something that is respected nationally. We didn’t play our best. And we were 1 drive away from winning the game.

I hate that College Football, it feels like no fanbase is happy.

At some point we elders who have been around since the BY days hope your comments come true, before our time runs out.

I read in an upper post we should have won against TT and Utah. To that assessment I agree. That’s what my post was all about. Coulda, shoulda, woulda, we just don’t get it done.

At any rate I applaud your belief!

Well said!

This was my sentiment from a post just a couple hours ago.

Glad to hear.someone else say it.

The only difference is, I get trolled when I point out fan negativity.

The difference between you and others is your habit of name calling. You’ve called our fans, dumbasses, fools and rubes. Quit name-calling and getting personal in your criticisms.

You also stated that you could not confirm if you’re a lifetime COOG fan after Willie leaves! That right there seperates you.

I never use that term. I like to think only a small minority does.

Remember, fan is short for fanatic.

We are one recruiting class away from being a Top Ten team.

From the title, I thought we were posting on Rod Stewart’s version of “Reason to Believe”.

I don’t mind people using the term “Coogin’ it”, but this wasn’t that.

BYU “coog’d it”…sorry. Edit: BYU “coug’d it”.
