Sad that he is no longer with us. I’ll never forget his reaction after we lost a National Championship game. He was devastated. So long Renaldo, you’re an honored part of the Cougar family.
That’s the scene I first thought of it.
Made famous for being on the floor and pounding it with his hands.
Also part of the famed Smothers Brothers unit during PSJ.
Another memory I have is how he dealt with a heckler at the FT line: He paused, looked at the guy and smiled. Then he calmly sank the FT.
He was a great Coog. Prayers for his loved ones.
We lost a great Coog way too early
Renaldo was only 57, way too young to be passing. Everyone liked that guy.
Great Coog.
Our hearts go out to his family.
Mr. Indiana Basketball
Thomas, from Gary, Indiana, arrived at UH more herald than fellow freshman Alvin Franklin of La Marque.
In the state championship game Thomas scored 19 points but his Roosevelt team lost 75-74 to Scott Skiles’ Plymouth team.
Thomas was a solid role player for Phi Slama Jama and appeared to be a good teammate.
