A couple of the better power ratings have updated. Here’s how the rest of the season looks. I see four toss ups.
Actually, there were six toss ups and we split the first two.
Beat who we are supposed to beat and split the remaining toss ups, we are 9-3. This is my expectation. 10+ wins will exceed my expectations, 8 or fewer wins will disappoint.
I’m not concerned about Memphis. Kansas, on the other hand, might embarrass us at home if we continue to sputter on offense.
As to all the the criticism about Belk, yes, there are areas that need to improve, but the defense is the only reason the first two games were close. Look no further than Texas as to how a a good DC can impact a game against a formidable opponent. God forbid we lose Belk and continue with this predictable low scoring offense.
Our OL is going to get better and thus so will our run game and maybe our quarterback can survive the rest of the season.
I think our defense improves especially the backfield.
Coaches need to do their part
With us leaving the AAC I also worry about the refs in every sport.
Kansas is a crucial game for us as we try to bounce back from two tough road games.
Right now SMU and East Carolina on the road appear to be loseable games.
But the good news is that we are highly capable of winning any game we play.
See you guys Saturday!
I don’t get the new years six is over idea? We lost to tech last year and was a game away from sneaking a new years six if they beat cinci… we made the new years six with a loss to UCONN
Couple of Sun Belt schools may have something to say about that. I think we have a fair shot at 10-2. Doubt we win all three roadies at SMU, ECU, and Memphis, but if we win this weekend the outlook begins to brighten.
