Revisiting Barry Switzer’s Thoughts on Houston in the B12

I’d take that.

History shows UH as an average program with intermittent years of greatness.

The benefit of the p5 is the money to sustain us during the dark times. Imagine where we would be with another 0fer season.

But I a p5 even the lowly bowls are as good as aac’s best tie in.

College football needs to take a serious look at which schools could realistically compete with Alabama, and try to bring parity to the league. Taking the reins off Houston, and allow them to compete with P5 resources in a P5 conference is how they need to look at things. There maybe other schools out there as well and the NCAA needs to be looking at that. If we were able to land a Big Ed every year, that would be a start. It is not out of the realm of possibilities. The Clemson and Alabama show every year is not cutting it.

“The Big Ed Thing” with a G5 vs. Good P5 teams is: if we have a 5 star in G5 that is GREAT at 1 position playing healthy and then leaving in 2 years. 1 person plays too Big of a role in a unit. Injury or loss of said player replaced by a 2 or 3 star especially a true freshman. Good/Great P5’s have 5 star DEPTH at all or most positions or at least 4 stars.

You’re a prophet…
