He was 80. I have no concept of celebrity age these days. Like as if they stop aging when they become famous.
That guy was hilarious on Night Court.

He came to Lamar High school to do the movie Sidekicks. I thought he hated being around kids. Years later when I got to do a show with Jon Larroquete, I told him that story and he said Richard was always like that.
Sad. It was one of my favorite shows. I thought they were rebooting it.
Night Court 2023 completed its first season and got renewed for a second season.
Of the main cast, Fielding and Roz are the only two still left with us.
