In this Texas Legislative session, House Joint Resolution 155 would establish “destination resorts” in major metropolitan areas, including casinos. Houston would be allowed two destination resorts in the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugarland metropolitan area.

Id love a first class poker room

We have two first-class poker rooms in Clear Lake.

I don’t need a casino….just a sportsbook.

Tired of paying a bookie 2.5 points higher on the VIG than I should be.

Switching sports to play for Deion.

Poor UT losing players :smirk:

Just a reminder: Texas already has casinos. Naskila in Livingston, for one.

I should have been more specific. We have an extremely fragmented poker scene. It would be great to have at least one big room. Like playing at the Mirage in the day, or the Bike or Bay 101.

Arkansas lol

So now Kansas state is destination u? Sad how it’s about money now

It’s more about Coach Tang having deep Texas ties and there successful season. They aren’t landing a lot of guys right now but there in the mix.

At this point, anyone considering going to Arkansas has to be an absolutely moron, right?

Why is that?

They are actively and constantly recruiting beyond their scholarship limits. Every single transfer that has committed there this year runs the risk of sitting at the end of the bench or worse, being pushed out. Every school pushes out players during the offseason to make room for new recruits. But I would think it reasonable for players to commit without the risk of being recruited over during the same cycle. There is no chance Musselman isn’t lying to these kids about their role on the team to get them to sign which is despicable. But maybe that’s just me.

I wonder what all the current transfers to Arkansas are thinking?

“Bring on the competition! I know I am the best.” or
“Oh no, I may lose my spot on the team or be buried on the bench!”

Agree. That lockerroom is going to be so dysfunctional when they get off to their typical slow start in conference play
