Russia, since 2014, has tried to move Russians into Crimea and the parts of Ukraine controlled by the guerilla groups, while at the same time moving/forcing out Ukrainians, often to Russia.
For anyone claiming to believe in democracy and human rights, any support for the regime in Russia should be anathema to them.
Very much like their WW2 tactics.
