Russian Three Star General CAPTURED in Ukraine

We all know what will stop this war apart from nuking p.o.s. putin.
First:
Europe has to stop buying Russian crude oil. To think that they still do is telling Ukraine we do not care about you and your sovereignty.
Second:
India has to stop buying, refining and selling Russian crude oil.
The dictatorship of China has to stop buying Russian crude oil.
If they these two keep doing it we have no choice but to impose huge tariffs on them and the EU ought to do the same.

Who is paying for putin p.o.s. to keep killing Ukrainians? We all know who is.

Europe buys little oil from Russia now, like 2% from a percentage closer to 29% in years past.

I agree about china and india. But what country could really flex sanctions to hurt russia but wont?

What country is affraid to stand up to china?

What country used tariffs to drive India closer to china and russia?

What country cut off helping ukraine arm itself in its war against russia?

What country has shown disdain for NATO and emboldened Russia?

What country keeps saying Ukraine is the aggressor?

What country hosted a summit with Putin, and afterwards Putin thumbed his nose at the host country?

Think it over 90210 and get back to us in 2 weeks.

Even if eu stops buying Russian gas directly, they still trade heavily with china and India (who still buy Russian gas), so eu is still technically adding to russias economy indirectly

Putin continues to escalate and ignore any efforts for peace. Something has to give. We can’t keep doing what we are doing.

putin p.o.s. is interested by three things:
Power
Money

Impose tariffs on the two countries mentioned above.
Both can’t do without the U.S. market. The dictatorship can’t survive without selling their goods to us. We do this? The E.U. has to follow through.

I understand Putin. None of this surprises me, although it seems to surprise some. He doesn’t want peace and never has.

The EU needs to do more but so do we. I’m more worried about what my country is doing though.

It’s time for us to do more. We were talking about sanctions on Russia before, now it’s tariffs on others. Whatever, let’s do something. I’d be really surprised if we hit China hard though.

Or maybe the USA empire is in decline

Not only is China’s economy growing faster than the US’s, not only are they not limiting themselves to fossil fuels like the US is, but they also could care less who Russia invades

USA polices the world, and it’s coming back to bite us because too much of the world views the US as the world police at the expense of our own economy

post-WW2 America is an unsustainable empire. If the USA ever loses Israel, it’s pretty much the end of the USA empire

Uhhhhhhh
whatever.

So you’re saying that we should likewise “care less” who Russia invades?

What if it invades a NATO nation?

Or China invades Taiwan?

All that is necessary in order for evil to triumph
is indifference on the part of others.

Not saying that at all

I’m saying that China (and to a degree, India) don’t have the same set of geopolitical standards that the US does, which backfires on the US

America has predicated itself on exceptionalism and fake patriotism

a) the patriotism ain’t fake for most people.

AND

b) the USA is exceptional in a number of ways.

See everyone this is where being a tattle tell is ok. Mods please stop this before we get a 72 post Law v 3rd vortex

The assertion that America has predicated itself on exceptionalism and fake patriotism reflects a long-running, critical perspective on the nation’s identity. The debate questions whether the idea of a uniquely virtuous and superior U.S. accurately reflects its history and actions, or if it has served to obscure profound national flaws and self-interest.

  • Evolving interpretations: The term has been used by a wide range of political figures over time. In 1929, Soviet leader Joseph Stalin used “American exceptionalism” as a pejorative to criticize the U.S.'s resistance to communism. Conversely, 20th and 21st-century American politicians have used it to promote a message of national greatness.

The wealthiest and elites don’t care about patriotism. America is merely a tool that serves their interests.

Capitalism exists to serve the wealthiest, and the middle class (which is most of us) is an illusion built on unsustainable debt financially and environmentally - patriotism is used to distract this class (my class) to support the overall system of American free market capitalism

Our military serves to protect American free market capitalism and/or institute free market capitalism in other countries

Agree with this. Let’s start a new thread if y’all want to continue this one.

Russia clearly doesn’t believe the talk, and they seem to be emboldened by what looks like a weaker NATO alliance. That’s on us.
