Why would Ukraine believe anything Russia/US says now? Didn’t they agree to giving up their nukes in exchange for being protected from invasion by the west? How did that end up?

You can’t trust either country. Their aspirations are obvious and they will never stop if we let them start taking things over. We’ve this kind of thing play out many times over history.

Scenario. As long as it doesn’t go nuclear the damage our two adversaries could do to each other, would only help us long term. I mean you know as long as we grow our of our stab allies in the back, shake em down, etc. Phase and back to being good(ish) America again

I think China has been slow playing Russia and letting them get shredded in Ukraine and China will have their way with them soon. Either militarily or economically or both.
Yeah, I distrust both but I really hate (he who cant be named here and his puppet master in the Kremlin) and the damage they are doing here.
