Russian Three Star General CAPTURED in Ukraine

Alaska was part of Russia for a long time but don’t think we want to give that back. Plenty of examples like that across the world.

Russia has no right to take Crimea back by force. None.

Texas was part of Mexico and had Mexicans living here before Americans arrived. If Mexico wanted Texas back should we just give it back, it was theirs. Right?

I asked chat gpt if it was Russia and given time how it would undermine, destabilize and erode confidence in the US political system and democracy. Here is what it said. It is right on the money as we are seeing the wedge between americans get bigger and bigger. We are turning on ourselves.

  • Disinformation Campaigns: Amplify divisive narratives through state-controlled media, bots, and trolls on platforms like X,targeting issues like race, immigration, or gun rights to erode trust in institutions.

  • Cyber Operations: Conduct persistent cyberattacks on critical infrastructure, electoral systems, or government databases to undermine confidence in governance and sow chaos.

  • Influence Operations: Fund or support extremist groups, political fringe movements, or media outlets to deepen polarization and weaken democratic norms.

  • Economic Pressure: Manipulate energy markets or trade to create economic instability, indirectly fueling public discontent with democratic leadership.

  • Election Interference: Deploy hacking, leaks, or propaganda to discredit electoral processes, as seen in 2016, to question the legitimacy of outcomes.

  • Cultural Subversion: Promote anti-democratic ideologies through academic, cultural, or religious channels, subtly shifting public attitudes against democratic values.

  • Exploitation of Social Media: Use targeted ads and algorithms to manipulate public opinion, amplifying conspiracy theories or distrust in mainstream media.

It’s almost like you can hear a 180 rotation in a significant portion of Americans away from how US has viewed freedom and Russia for decades, just based on rationalizing current admin. I’m amazed how quickly that can turn (maybe I’m not really)… I’m guessing from watching conservative media echo chamber all day?

Terrible example. You need to go back to history 101. How did Alaska become part of the U.S.A.?
By your own reasoning France shall demand that the U.S. give back 2/3 of the U.S. territory. How is that going to fly?

That’s literally the point.

Bingo and what does the Crimean population want?
Fascinating article.

It brings to light to some that have no clues about history or why Crimea embodies the Ukraine vs Russia conflict.
Now consider this. Take putin, p.o.s. out do we even have a conflict? Ukraine is Russia and Russia is Ukraine. putin had no rights to do what he did but at the same time N.A.T.O. had no rights to expand after the Serbian conflict. Here lays the foundation of this horrific conflict. Think about cousins, yes family members killing each other.
After Yeltsin we had the opportunity to integrate Russia into N.A.T.O. We did not. Instead we imposed N.A.T.O. on Russia’s doorsteps. These military geniuses including putin have blood on their hands. This conflict should have never happened but for sheer horrific military strategic thinking. The biggest benefactor in this this? China.

Should Russia regain all territory from the Soviet Union days? My Lithuania friends would find that very offensive

Article is behind a paywall. Regardless the title of it is “What Crimea means to Russia”. Not the other way around

It is not under a paywall. I do not subscribe to the FT and had full access.

Brilliant negotiations!

It works for me. You might want to refresh your computer or do a clean up.

You’re making my point for me. Thank you.

I also think it’s funny that you constantly get upset with me for attacking you (I don’t) yet do stuff like that.

But feel free to defend Putin attacking a sovereign country and stealing their land.

I have not paid for the FT for decades. So I have no clues why it works for me but not for you.

Doesn’t work for me either.

Okay, regardless, is the title wrong ? Is the article about what Crimea means to Russia or what Russia means to Crimea

You must need to clean up
