In a climate where you can just make up your own reality, irony has no real place to grow.

Someone will not like this news.

The U.S. State Department approves a $310 million F-16 training and support package for Ukraine.

The F-16 will form the backbone of the Ukrainian Air Force for many years to come.

How did we miss this.

The timing of Putin’s latest truce is particularly interesting. Critics note that his Victory Day ceasefire coincides with a major military parade in Moscow to mark the eightieth anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany. Putin is expected to host a number of high-ranking foreign dignitaries at the event, including the leaders of China, Brazil, and India. Needless to say, it would be hugely embarrassing for the Kremlin dictator if his propaganda parade was overshadowed by Ukrainian airstrikes in Moscow or elsewhere in Russia.

He bombed Ukraine on Easter. I say go for it.

I mean this is kind of an easy target…

No way I’m agreeing to that if I’m Ukraine.

That said, Obama does deserve a little scrutiny over not doing a hell of a lot more when Crimea was taken. Hindsight notwithstanding.

Is Ukraine Pravda propaganda? (asking seriously) Here’s a quick blurb from them about it.

Maybe…

Ukraine should find a way to send unarmed drones to drop leaflets advocating for Russian withdrawal and peace.

Jason thank you for posting, really. In response to your post.
Couple of questions:
Are we allowed to post articles mentioning a president but not another?
This article is indeed propaganda. It omits how putin, p.o.s. got $B’s.
Here is the missing piece:
o…a states that he and merkel, p.o.s. did more than they could to stop putin, p.o.s.
Really?
Has anyone heard of the nord stream pipeline?
It was approved by merkel predecessor and put into full stream, no pun intended by merkel herself. Both merkel and o…a knew this would enrich putin, p.o.s immediately. Up to today Europeans are still buying Russian energy resources.
o…a and merkel had a choice after the Crimea invasion. Arm Ukraine to the highest level possible. What did o…a and merkel do? They sent blankets. Look it up.
Better mods?

No, Europe does not buy most of its energy from Russia anymore. While Russia was a major supplier before 2022, the EU has significantly reduced its reliance on Russian fossil fuels, especially since the conflict in Ukraine. In 2024, Russian gas only made up 14% of the EU’s total gas consumption, down from 47% in the first quarter of 2021. The EU has been actively phasing out Russian gas imports and diversifying its energy sources.

And Europe isn’t a monolithic group in the same way as the US.

Do you realize what you just wrote?
You clearly do not. 14% is too many. We either have sanctions against putin, p.o.s. or not.
You can’t have it both ways. The only way to get putin, p.o.s. to come to the table is to bankrupt him.
…and you write 14% like if it was nothing. Tell that to the Ukrainians.

See what I mean?

Calling me out for what? The EU has dropped from 47% to 14% from Russia.

Slovakia and Hungary are highly reliant on Russian oil imports, with some sources stating that over 80% of their oil comes from Russia. Hungary, is very pro-russian.

The three biggest buyers of Russian fossil fuels, China (EUR 78 bn), India (EUR 49 bn), and Turkey (EUR 34 bn) were responsible for 74% of Russia’s total revenues from fossil fuels in the third year of the invasion.

You do realize individual EU countries do different things. They just proposed to completely cut off Russia in the next 2 years.

I simply asked you to make up your mind, are you pro Ukraine or pro-russia because you were just lecturing us about how Ukraine is really Russia.
