Its been a running joke for a long time the Team twitter feed usually posts a gif of Sampson spiking his tie during each game when he finally takes it off.

I donât know much about basketball refing, but I saw a Temple kid slam the ball to the court when his coach called timeout after we had just scored 7 or 8 in a row. Ball bounced as high as the kids head so it was definitely a slam. Refs usually call a T when a player slams the ball donât they?
