You don’t have to reply to my comments. There are some UH fans that react differently to losses than you do. If you can’t handle that not everybody lives in your bubble of sunshine, rainbows and marshmallows, then maybe you should go find a fan base that doesn’t complain. Good luck.

Mark wanted to be the starting PG and he wasn’t going to do that here. There was a push to bring in another ball handler (primarily Mills), which is why Mylik briefly entered the portal, but FedEx has deep pockets.
Problem with trying to grab good players in the portal is they often don’t want to sit or take a secondary role…since that’s likely a big reason why they are in the portal to begin with.
We’ll likely grab a solid PG this offseason and continue looking for the next Sampson PG on the recruiting trail as, unless the Brinks truck is backing up to Shead’s house, or his ankle injury negatively affects his draft stock, he’s likely gone. I don’t have inside info, but the kid from ASU could be a solid fit as he’s a solid defender and had some nice words to say about our program recently.

I hope one of our freshmen or KJ will be able to get their own shots. So we bring in a good PG and one of them is our “break glass in case of emergency” bucket getter if injuries occur.

Miller isn’t a true PG, but he’s got the ability to create his own shot. He’ll likely see playing time next season…maybe early on like Tugler.
KJ will be solid next season. Be interesting to see what role he plays early on and they could develop him into a PG…he has the ability, but he’s also a good shooter and may fill the Cryer/Sasser/Sharp role. He and Miller are going to be really good together the year after next.

This team has lost 2-3 starters every year and never fallen off.
would yoiu say we regressed since being in the final four in 21? I would not.
I have 1000% faith in CKS and our players.
Mercy MIller will have his time and could be big time, soon!
There is also this thing called the transfer portal. And all our seniors have an extra year of covid eligibility.

The tourney is a crap shoot, especially when your conference player of the year and 1st team All American leaves the game in the first half with an ankle injury. 32 wins and Big 12 champion, this team has progressed!

Sharp can’t dribble penetrate, so no he won’t be our pg. None of our guards besides Shead could. We need to find someone from the portal.
