SCHEDULE OREGON STATE AGAIN

Everything about Corvalis that has been described above (except population) can also be said of Fort Collins, Colorado, the home of Colorado State. Fort Collins is definitely a college town; and its downtown was part of the inspiration for Disneyland’s Main Street USA. It’s got breweries, including the home of Fat Tire and a huge A-B plant. There is a large, active Greek system for CSU’s 26,000 undergrads. It’s an hour’s drive from Denver and an hour’s drive from Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park. It has a river and a big reservoir. But since it got discovered, mainly by fleeing/retiring Californians, it is no longer a small town. The population is now 170,000.

UH’s all-time record against the CSU Rams is 4-3-1. The last time we played them was in 2008 at Fort Collins, and I was there.

The whole stadium had chair backs? Are they rich?

You act like their whole crowd is made up of 18-25 year olds…Their students who like football will certainly be there, and were there, along with lots of other folks, nearly a 30,000 crowd…

Not bad for a Friday night.
