Lots of traditional students I take it

Idk I just know they know how to put on a show in Reser Stadium. I’ve been to a lot of “traditional” schools and CVO is simply an incredible place. Definitely beats, i.e., Waco or Lubbock.

Looked like it, yes.

It feels like Huntsville, if it was surrounded by mountains, better weather, a P5 stadium, phenomenal campus facilities (they have escalators & elevators for ALL 3 FLOORS in the stadium), and cannab!s dispensaries (for those that partake).

And also not prisons. So nothing at all like Huntsville, really. I think it’s more like if Denton had an enormous glow up and also gorgeous weather and a much better stadium atmosphere

Really, though, there’s nowhere in Texas like this because there simply can’t be. I haven’t been anywhere quite like this.

This is true: no place in TX can compare.

Did you put it in your pipe and smoke it after the win?

Their fans looked amazing for an 0-4 team.

The lower sections all along the home side and up the right hand end zone are student section, with the band behind the goal post. They are on quarters rather than semesters so this was the first game with students on campus. They were full and into it. Everything above was half full at best and most of them cleared out when they were up 24-10 in the 4th.

Other than that I agree about Corvallis and the stadium.

I imagine that’s much better than we would do at 0-4, though.

What else is there to do in Corvallis? Watching the Beavers is something football fans there do and they dont worry about what the record is.

It’s only an hour from Portland too

A hell of a lot, actually. Fantastic beer, coffee, weed. Great frat scene. All the access to the outdoors you could possibly want for hunting/fishing/hiking/camping in arguably the single most gorgeous region of the country. Crater Lake in one direction and Portland in the other. All the grungy arts nonsense that pervades the West Coast more broadly. What do you think they do the other three quarters of their academic year?

I no longer partake, but i would have!

That explains why the students seemed so excited…

I was wondering how they were this excited (and tipsy & drunk) when they’re team was 0-3 going into this game.

Sure, but Corvallis is small af. Everything closes early & it’s dead at night

I tried ordering Uber Eats after the game…everything was closed or closing & the uber delivery guy was only 1 of maybe 3 ppl working, and was doing deliveries on a bicycle.

Took me nearly 2 hrs to get my food after he canceled my delivery bc it was too far for him on his bike.

They’re really into chainsaws too

And beavers flapping their tails lol

But I actually liked the chainsaw thing they got going on at the stadium.

Yeah, the chainsaw is super cool, and feels uniquely theirs. Also, I don’t know what that thing they do on first downs was supposed to be, but it was fun.
