Allen needs some competition. That is good news all around. The numbers you might point out? Not great by any means but we are in the Spring. Allen and others need to step up. I am 100% confident it will happen.
McClendon is a walk-on junior that took over snap holding duties after Postma was hurt last year. He was a big winner in high school and is a coach’s son. Basically, he’s getting snaps in springs because there is no one else right now.
Postma, Sells, and King are hurt, Fenimore is transferring, and Bryson Smith isn’t here yet. I’d also expect a few other walk-ons to make their way in over the summer to boost our depth a bit.
Yes, #7 does kind of remind you of another former Coog QB who wore the same number. Coach’s son from west Texas who won a Texas HS state championship… (In fact, he won 3 Texas HS state championships.)
