Didn’t we do that once in the SWC? If I recall, it didn’t go over well with the opposing fan bases. They thought we were mocking them.

Yes, in our first SWC season we played our opponents fight song at halftime. It was done out of respect; certainly not to mock them. But then, some of our opponents weren’t the sharpest tools in the shed.

Back in the day, the SMU Jazz Band covered all the SWC fight songs. Here is their rendition of the Cougar fight song.
