As talented as Seth is, his head is what will always hold him back. One of the most frustrating athletes to be a Coog. Hope that this gets resolved quickly.

What a team distraction.
He hasn’t been as dominant as I thought. I mean his strikeouts are outstanding, but his ERA is a little too high for a guy of his talents at the college level. Hopefully, this embarrassment wakes him up.
He had the same type problems in high school, so Whitting knew what he was up against going in. Seth has never been the model student. I thought maybe the episode last year was a great step in the right direction. He got focused, lost some weight and appeared to come back in fine form. This move will hit him deep in his pocket book if he does not straighten up quickly. Total waste…
I thought he had turned the corner with the comments he made prior to the season about needing to lead the team and the goal being Omaha. Guess it was just BS.
Just hope he gets his crap straight enough at this point to come back strong this season and be someone we can count on come tourney time. We’re lucky to have a ton of starting pitching depth and hopefully Henry/Villarreal can keep that midweek spot strong.
He is just staying in school long enough to get drafted in June.
Henry (freshman) seems to be doing OK. I’ll leave the other frosh (Villareal) as the closer.
Glad we have a coach with the balls to punish a player of Seth’s caliber. These kids have to learn you can’t do whatever you want in the real world. Good job, Coach Whitting!

Honestly, let him go at this point. Team is fine without him and you don’t know what he’ll do if he does come back. Rather just move on and put him in the rear view.
Dude is costing himself a ton of money right now. Can’t see him being a 1st round pick after getting suspended from his team and, if he doesn’t get his act together, he’ll never make the majors no matter how talented he is.
Violation of university policy and an indefinite suspension doesn’t sound like a “curfew issue” like initially reported.
I agree 100% with your comment. It is a shame to see such great talent go to waste but at this point bringing him back would most likely cause damage to the culture in the dugout. I look at it this way. With the way Cumbie has been pitching our Friday starter next year just moved up a year. There are some high quality freshman arms in the dugout. Time for the upper class-men and fellow freshman to rally around them and tell them to step up. They can pitch at this level.
Last night Nolan Bond finished the game out well. Three that definitely have the talent to step up for sure are Carter Henry, Tyler Bielamowicz, and Fred Villarreal.
If they let him back, it should be on a very short leash. I do not know what happened, but depending on the situation, I may ask the players if they want him back.
The attitude of the team seemed 100% better this weekend.
Suspension doesn’t seem to be hurting Romero in the mock drafts. If I’m Romero, this probably makes me not want to come back; why risk injury at this point. (Note: Romero retweeted JD’s article on this exact topic…he hasn’t posted anything on his twitter regarding UH baseball since the suspension).
