CSD may be a QB coach but has he ever actually recruited a QB? I hope he can. Isn’t that part of your job?

When Derek was being recruited by UH, although it was Orlando who was interested, it was Pope who did all of the recruiting for that area. It was Pope who came to PHS etc., not Orlando which I thought was odd since that was the position coach. Has it changed or is that still the format?

I was told Orlando didn’t recruit.

Yes, when Derek was being recruited by TAMU, he was the DC at the time. He talked to Derek once at the visit, but after that he would send someone else to PHS to speak with him and Coach Heath
