I don’t - SMU had the nation’s easiest schedule for a top 10 ranked team. They didn’t play Miami or Clemson during the regular season - and all of their tougher games were at home. Alabama is a better team, and so are several other teams that won’t be in the playoffs (like South Carolina, which just beat Clemson by a field goal). And BYU beat SMU head to head as well.
