• Two of Houston’s opponents at the Aggie Classic are familiar to the Cougars from a year ago. In 2017, Houston hosted Boston College on opening weekend with the Houston Hilton Plaza Invitational, splitting the teams’ two meetings. The Cougars also visited Texas A&M in a midweek matchup, winning 1-0 over the then No. 5/5 Aggies.
Tough loss against the Aggies as the Coogs went up 4-1 early, but couldn’t hang on. Eventually lost to a walk-off single. Still, a win against Tech and keeping it close against a Top 10 A&M team that was rested is a good start to the season. Get another chance at the Aggies on Sunday.
