Probably couldβve had T-shirts with the helmet logos on them couldβve sold pretty well.

They should have handed out playing cards (two each week for every home game sans the Facade game) as a collectible. They should have used planet/sun characteristics that ties with a position on the field. I spent two hours creating characters for each position group and designing player cards. Missed opportunity to market the heck out of this and drag it out.

From Eddie on the Go Coogs podcast said UCF backed out only after the game time was announced, strongly emplied they have the white jerseys.
He said they would auction the helmets off and he kept the helmets underwraps to excite the BMD at the friday event.

First, the graphics on the cards are outstanding!! I really think you need to get with the athletic department. Too late for this year, but in conjunction with one of the following two suggestions. Regarding the cards, they are handed out at the games, during the season. To get every planet and sun, you have to attend every game. The cards would become collector items.
Second, we need to do these helmets again. Even if not against UCF. They would look great with white jerseys designed as astronaut uniforms with numbers.
Third, if only for a space game against UCF, then your uniforms on the cards above would be great. Those helmets and that jersey for a black out game would be awesome.

I guess the peons like most of us donβt deserve excitement.
The excitement got them $40k for the Pluto helmet and they announced it to the public simultaneously.
If you have not found out very little of their income comes from normal season ticket holder you need to sit down because I have something to tell you.

Thats exactly why only the BMD are going to fill the stadium through their AC space. Who cares if its 100 degrees out and youre sitting out there for 4-6 hours. Its nice outside and we should be supportive lile everyone else in the nation at orher colleges.
Any way you can do a revenue analysis on football ticket sales? Is that really that bad?
For football in 2025 total ticket revenue was $3.76 million the Hall of Honor event on Friday night raised $1m by itself, for 2025 total donor contributions was $15.09m which I assume includes the βgiftβ portion of our season tickets.
That right there is why attendance is a bigger perception issue than a financial one.

They still would have gotten the $40K. The people who can afford that will do it right then or a week later. It doesnβt matter.
I would have at least appreciated an opportunity to bid. Again, I donβt care if it was the 3rd string punterβs helmet. That would probably be in my price range. I donβt need Wegmanβs or Thomasβs or Sanfordβs. Those would get bid up by the BMDβs no matter what.

There was definitely a great buzz when the helmets were introduced at the HOH. I think the reason Weigmanβs helmet went for so much was the excitement of the introduction really got the bidding going. That might have been lost if the helmets had been introduced earlier.

Eddie said on the podcast that the helmets would be auctioned, they only sold the 1 at the HOH event, I am assuming they will first give the upper level donors the option to buy one at a high price and then will auction the rest.
I go to a rich guy banquet every year for an organization my parents are a part of and the excitement in the room really does determine the outcome of all the auctions. I have seen the first few items come out flat and them struggle to raise $50k and I have seen drunk rich guys duking it out and overpaying by $20k on items and them raising $150k. It really is about the vibe and the buzz in the room.

Are we going to wear the helmets again this season? I think with the all white uniforms they will look like astronauts playing football out there
