t-minus 22 minutes!
There have been lots of successful spaceflights in the last 50 years. Can someone explain what is being done differently in the design by Space X, Boeing & Blue Origin that they are not having as much succeess? Or does it just seem like they aren’t as successful as the space flights that came before?
Different operating philosophy. NASA was slow and methodical and tried to avoid
failures at almost all cost. SpaceX takes more risks. They live by the motto
“fail fast, learn faster”.
Tired my first rocket launches with my students this week. All failures. So i showed the class this scene from the Right Stuff,
X’s Dragons are very successful and used regularly. The one with issues is a humongous ship. It’s what they are working on for Mars. The first test destroyed the pad
That makes sense. Obviously you’d need new tech or new solutions to get to Mars.
Who knew?

Question:
What can Elon do?
Where can Elon land his rocket debris?
Siberia maybe, kremlin door steps?
Elon is evil. He is bad to the bone.
How about nowhere?
Elon, JohnnyCougar wants you to stop your SpaceX program immediately.
The question should be, what is Elon doing now and is it enough to mitigate any harm to our natural resources?
In my opinion (which admittedly might not be fact based), Elon sees the Space X mission as too important and thus outweighs any harm, thus he has no real incentive or enthusiasm to mitigate it. He feels what he’s doing is righteous and thus any criticism is b.s. - again just my opinion.
How about in your yard, would you mind?
I hope you guys know the difference between Starship testing and the Falcon series. But I guess all you guys see is SpaceX = Elon = Bad. Thus SpaceX = bad.
Unwanted debris is bad and reputations are almost always justifiably earned.
BTW, just curious, what was your previous handle on here?
The fact that this actually got 3 likes is well, let’s just say, indicative of who the flag boys and fan boys (birds of a feather) probably are.
He just lacks empathy. His actions speak this loud and clear. This may be a function of him being on the spectrum like some say, but in the end, one must be a steward of the land you exploit. If Elon is not doing that, then yes, Elon bad in an environmental sense.
Guess we’ve learned nothing.
A reminder.
Are you talking to me? My previous handle? I’m not a weasel that changes names. In fact posters have made fun of my name because they disagree with me, like we were in third grade. lol.
If he cared, he could at least support some other environmental endeavors as a kind of offset. Does he do any of that ?
So yeah, he may just not care, or refuses to not see, or is incapable (ASD) of caring.
So now you think he purposely blew up the rocket to rain debris on the beaches? Because he’s anti environment? The guy who is the CEO of the biggest EV company? You guys are just going in circles trying to find something to hate on Musk. It’s hilarious or sad.
No one said he intentionally did that. We said he doesn’t care.
Stan spin is sad.
