I would think soccer is more dangerous than baseball. So I don’t think those are the ONLY reasons, or the biggest factor, as to why kids in general play more soccer than other sports
Plus it takes no talent…to “run after ball like every other kid”

If you watch pee wee soccer, it’s pretty low risk.
In my elementary school soccer games, NOBODY got hurt. At most, kicked in the shin, and there are guards for that.
By contrast, in baseball……there’s always a danger of getting clunked in the head or hit in the eye with the ball, even in T-Ball.
Youth soccer is the most popular thing for parents to put kids in that requires the least amount of skills needed by their kids.
Inter Miami is getting dismantled by PSG 4-0 in the first half alone, thought they would be better representing.
MLS is just a bad product, Americans are not dumb.

High School sports participation says it all. Soccer haters can’t do a damn thing about it. I will write it again. It takes decades before you come to a major international level. The U.S. sports H.S. calendar and the pay to play system are the biggest hindrance to producing top level soccer players in America. Besides all of that the MLS players technical level has gone up…but so as the rest of the world. So called soccer academies are more often than not cash registering machines. Rarely will you see a true qualified soccer coach. There are tens of thousands of pay to play soccer coaches that are in it to make a buck. In many cases it is a racket. Soccer like every other sport is about heart. The will to leave the field without any regrets. You can’t teach that but it is the coach’s job to assemble a team that exemplifies the will to win.
Naysayers can hate the game. What matters is if you see a kid playing soccer encourage him, have fun with it.
Exactly…the point is for every kid that plays soccer…very few become die hard lifelong soccer fans likes kids do with the other sports.
I mean, if you thought a team that couldn’t win the CONCACAF Champions’ Cup would give the reigning champions of Europe a close game, that’s mostly on you. It’s like expecting a playoff team from NFL Europe to put up a fight against the Super Bowl winner.
Yep, soccer is something they can check the box for doing.
We have had "high participation " rates for almost 40 years and it has not paid off.
Not sure why we labeled soccer haters simply because we aren’t buying what they sell.
@T-Moar, I know but I was hoping for a closer game, they played well for most of the game against Palmerias.
The Sounders and Pachuca looks completely overmatched in their games.
