Already posted this in another thread but I saw Stephon Johnson on the way out of the stadium last night and gave him a Fist bump and words of encouragement. The players looked like really upset, man. Donovan throwing that pick and the fans leaving sure as hell didn’t make them feel better. Just keep showing up and supporting these guys, they need it. Go Coogs!

The in-season performance thus far is not a red flag for fritz. It will be the 2025 recruiting class. It will be retention of the young guys currently in program to continue their development.
Most starters on offense are Holgorsen carryovers, who weren’t starters last seasin. It is a confluence of new system/bad coaching and players who might not have sufficient talent/maturity to produce at this level.
Oh really? We lost 3 starters off last years defense and haven’t missed a beat. I fully expect us to have a really good defense next year. Stop feeling sorry for yourself

Lol Sheil Wood is gone and so is nearly everybody on defense after this year. We’ll miss a beat.

Probably to be a head coach or a DC in the SEC or Big 10.

If the DC and a lot of the defensive players leave during the off season then we know Fritz isn’t doing his job. I’ve been happy with what they have done so far. You can tell the putrid offense is starting to affect their confidence, though.
It wouldn’t make as much as your glazing so let’s start with that.
Most are graduating but it would make sense if some follow him to his next destination.
If I’m in that class and have any other offers I’m not going to play for Willie. The look on his face when he was ask about Ale said everything. Ale is the only QB standing between us and 3 shutouts and Wille won’t even think about using him.

We will have the money in 2025/2026 when we start collecting 32-50M. Not that coach buyouts are an good use of the money. Better to force Fritz to hire competent offensive staff and give DC Wood a pay raise if defense keeps playing well. We can do that before season ends

This is incorrect, at the time the Memphis game set the record for the highest attendance game at UH ever (minus the SWC days) with 42,159.

When the score is only 3-0 it’s winnable. 10-0 not insurmountable. We drove the field with a chance to score and Smith was intercepted. Could’ve been 13-7. We were within striking distance until the very last part of the game. Had our offense been able to score it WAS a winnable game with the defense playing so well.
We all know the offense sucks. It hasn’t looked this bad since the Dimel/Helton years. Hell, I think this may be worse.

I expected our won/loss record to be right where it is right now.
I didn’t expect two shut outs. I didn’t expect one third down conversion in the fifth game. I didn’t expect less discipline (penalties) than under Dana. I didn’t expect a punt from our opponent’s 39 yard line when we haven’t scored since forever. I didn’t expect bleeding clock to end the first quarter. And second quarter. And second half. I didn’t expect to not have a place kicker, deep snapper, or QB.
