Strength and conditioning

I’m sorry, but I am not Clayton’s mom

Ok sorry got the names mixed up

Understandable

Boyd Epley was the driving force behind the Nebraska strength and conditioning program later dubbed “Husker Power”. He was also one of the founders of the National Strength Coaches Association. Epley’s ideas revolutionized college athletics.

I think overall most programs have good S&C and nutrition programs. At least enough to where no school has an advantage. Nebraska may have pioneered this in the '80s, but I think in 2021, most schools have caught on.

I actually heard Lance Zierlein talking recently how Alabama’s program was far advanced to others because of certain technology they had. For example, they had technology that could isolate how much force each leg produced when accelerating and then construct a specific training program around each player’s data.

LZ is pretty in tune with a lot of schools’ technology and S&C programs so the fact that he went on and on about Alabama’s program resonated.

I guess what I’m getting at is technology is the differentiator nowadays. The advances in sports nutrition and strength programs are known commodities at this point at most schools.
