Taggart Lawsuits Could Spell Trouble

Keep an eye on this situation. Taggart could be out at FSU if these Oregon law suits produce enough embarrassing (or worse) information. I had not heard about all players ending up in the hospital while he was at Oregon.

Given last year’s performance, it probably wouldn’t take much for FSU to cut him loose. Then give Kendall Briles a shot at being coach and if that doesn’t work hire big in the offseason.

I highly doubt a program like FSU is going to give Kendal Briles the reigns…especially if they are replacing an embarrassment.

Depends on timing. Right now they can hire somebody fresh. Get close enough to the season (which is when I’m guessing it would occur as these things take time to develop) the more likely you are going to need an interim. If he does well, then he’s already there.

It’s basically a way around the front entrance.

It’s entirely possible they have another assistant they can elevate and try out instead. But nobody else on their staff looks familiar.

They may not hire a new HC but I’d be shocked if they decided to turn the team over to Kendal. I’d expect someone else on the staff to take over if that happened.

More likely they would let Briles be interim if Taggart is canned mid-season [similar to Helton at USC].

FSU is taking a ton of heat over the Briles hire. Doubt they promote him at this point.

Actually its been pretty quiet here in Tallahassee, its seems like U of H got a lot more criticism. Although I understand a demonstration is being planned at the stadium for the first home game.

Hope FSU get more than 14 points worth of a coach…the way you leave will have a serious impact on present employer and Employee…

Each stop seems to wash off some of the stink of the Baylor episode [whether he was guilty or not]. He is a good offensive mind but I am still surprised he hooked his wagon to Taggart.

Yep, I always thought it was a dumb decision. Wait one more year, another season with King, then he probably would have had plenty more opportunities, maybe even NFL the way things are going. Instead, he’s tied with that dumpster fire in Tallahassee. Well, I figured it would play out badly, but who’d a thunk lawsuits would be flying in from Oregon???

Bovada has odds at -750 the demonstration chant will begin with, “hey hey ho ho”. I’ll be putting $500 down when I’m in Vegas next month.

This article is pretty good

Unless he felt like Applewhite was gone already.

Looking more and more like Briles done goofed. FSU is a dumpster fire rn.

Phil Knight will probably help sweep this under the rug.

I said earlier this season that it won’t be known as the Willie Taggart Era. It will be known as the Willie Taggart incident by the time he leaves FSU.

Lol. The Oregonian is more pissed that he used an OU booster plane to interview for another job. Someone should text that writer that our AD brought another school’s administrators into his office to interview for a job.

It’s more a reflection of Oregon’s lack of diligence in backgrounding Taggart than a surprise by his behavior. The same way that we hired a weak AD brought on board by a weak predecessor.

You get what you get. And when you get got you got what you deserve.
