Tech May Not Sign House Agreement

Yep. Stevie Wonder can see this.

Uhlaw’s envyof Tech has clouded his objectivity.

What if the CSC determined that UH did not meet its arbitrary minimum attendance requirements and decided that expulsion was necessary. Should UH just agree without a fight?

There are no such minimum requirements.

Of course we should fight if such a thing happened, but it won’t, so it’s a question about nothing.

In Tech’s case, however, it’s a real attempt to shirk the rules. That’s something, not nothing.

There’s no good justification for Tech fighting to be free from rules enforcement.

Everybody has to play by the same rules. Tech doesn’t want to because they want their sugar daddy to have unregulated free rein to buy players. To the extent that they won’t agree to abide by the rules everyone else does, they deserve punishment.

And I gotta be honest with ya Bro. A school like Tech that has never won a major bowl game doesn’t have the clout to successfully fight this.

Envy?

Why would I be envious of a school that:

a) is ranked significantly lower at both the undergrad and law school levels by USNEWS than UH……

b) has never won a major bowl game (UH has won three)

c) has fewer men’s basketball final four and finals appearances than UH?

If anything, Tech should be envious of UH/

And neither will Tech be expelled.

Right. That’s why your obvious envy makes no sense.

I have no envy.

Again, if anything, Tech should be envious of UH given that Tech is lower ranked academically and has less football and men’s basketball history.

Tech could be expelled. It can’t be ruled out.

And even if Tech isn’t expelled, it could be denied up to a year of conference revenue distributions, or be denied bowl eligibility.

Bad idea by Tech.

UH shouldn’t be dragged into it.

Following your logic, would UH have the “clout’ to fight this?

No.

That’s why I don’t want UH joining a fight with Tech that neither can win, and then potentially be punished for.

If UT and A&M are signing, so should UH.

Tech won’t care about UH if they get Wild West. I think UH will be better served if there are rules in place unless we hear frittata is going Wild West with us but so far he isn’t .

There will be a commission to vet deals and we need rules. Will some try and cheat, yes but I think there will penalties.

Will tech care about UH after they get their way ? No

I’m going with the rules bc we need consistency it brings.

When 99% are signing it tells you which way to go

On God’s earth why?
They have never played by the rules.
Anybody that knows our history knows this.
Again, why on earth should we sign it because they will?
It makes no sense whatsoever.
law has the b…s to write that everybody play with the same rules.
No they won’t. The blue blood have never played by the same rules. That is the entire point.
ohios state won the cfp National Championship spending the most money.
What does that spell for you?
Are any of you that want us to sign this agreement are also going to deny that these same bluebloods did not cheat or are not cheating too?

I am watching the UA vs ASU game:
Yormark is selling BYU to the cfp. Glad he is doing it. He even said that Utah with 10 wins so far should be considered.

Very much this. Blue bloods are the billionaires of college football. They, as do real billionaires, believe rules don’t apply to them. If history is any indication (and it always is) blue bloods will collude to put rules in place to keep the nones subservient to them and will continue to do whatever they please. Everybody knows this.

Unlimited NIL for anyone who can afford it.
I’m happy for TT and SMU.

It’s the blue bloods that see the writing on the wall. There are only so many 4 and 5 stars and they can’t compete for them all.

If just one team picks off a 4 star from the G5 then they will not have the depth to win a bunch of Natys.

But if you limit NIL then they will do pay under the table and biz as usual.

NIL hasn’t really created that though.

Last year’s final four were all large brand blue bloods with deep pockets.

It’s true that Bama may not be able to stockpile five star talent like they used to,

But all that really means is that other blue bloods with deeper pockets and bigger war chests (Ohio State, Michigan, ND, UT, etc) will sign more.

Have nots with poor NIL won’t sign five stars in abundance.

NIL isn’t about redistributing talent.

It’s simply about the rich getting richer, and/or, schools with a big enough sugar daddy (Oregon and Tech) buying teams.

SMU shouldn’t have been in the playoffs last year and got killed. Probably won’t be back.

Indiana is about the only “have not” that has made a remarkable rise.

But that was mostly due to a new coach that brought a lot of transfer talent with him from his old team. It wasn’t so much a matter of NIL.

What is it that you do not understand?
What is it?
blue bloods have paid players under the table for decades.
teetech comes in and disturbs their monopoly.
Shortly after the blue bloods cry foul and impose this agreement on everybody.
Asking again, what is it that you do not understand?
Now read the following:
Why would a five stars players sign for us?
This is the other side of what is going on.
You can build up a squad that will win against any team with the right coaching staff.
Off course we will need a minimum of talent but football within this age group is unique. It is not the pros. Anyone that has any coaching experience will tell you that it takes experience to build these players to a true top five NFL pick. This is why so many football players that were rated as a three stars end up being NFL Hall of Famer.
Bottom line is this.
The blue bloods want to keep control of the money. They make money by tv contracts and cfp bowl game appearance. This is what this has been all about. Money
teetech and everyone else that wants to pony up that kind of cash? More power to them.
Moreover it give a g5 a chance to be as competitive as they can be and disrupt this cartel.
You bring up smu. What about bringing up ASU? They got robbed by the cfp refs. That is where you should spend your energy on. Why did this happen in the age of instant replay, video review? We all know why it happened. By winning uta got more money to the sec, lots more money.

That’s year ONE of the new playoff format.
Insufficient data.

So…if TT makes it to the F4, in year TWO, which they might, that voids your whole argument

Yes, we should 100% be on the opposite side of whatever UT & TAMU wants.

They want the rules to benefit them and NOT to allow a TT, or UH, to rise to their level

It has always been about the blue bllod bloods controlling everyone else but them.
Do you all remember when atm amassed all of the five stars under Jimbo the banker Fisher?
How do you think he got them and this was prior to NIL I believe. What a bunch of b.s. we are forced fed.
