Tennessee doesn't deserve a playoff spot!

Cause they got pounded on both sides of the ball and didn’t turn it over a single time. Heck, they won the turnover battle but still got pummeled.

Or do things like this not count for SEC teams?

Well Arkansas beat Tennessee, so technically, Arkansas deserves to be in the CFP over SMU

Exactly. People have blinders on for college football. Maybe it’s cause it’s the first time they do a “tournament” at this level. We’ve been seeing teams get cooked in the NCAA basketball tournament forever. Sometimes it’s the lower seed that does it and sometimes it’s not.

lol SEC fans have now shifted narrative to the CFP has too many teams lol

They need to add more teams if anything. Would be fun lol

The chants in Columbus of “S-E-C” started in the second quarter. ESPN homers ignored it for half an hour by saying basically Ohio State has a terrible record vs the SEC and look at all the Tennessee fans.

Sad thing is Tennessee was better than Bama. Part of me wishes Bama had gotten in so we could’ve seen them get waxed by 20 points lol

That would only lead to more blowouts. Who wants to see an SEC team blow out the AAC champion? I think the current format is fine.

Until every conference champ gets in the tournament it’s bogus.

The point is, the first round of the playoffs were a farce. FAR too big an advantage for home teams. Clemson was the only road team who even attempted to stay in a game. And even they got beat by 2 TDs…Needs to change next year to neutral sites. Ridiculous for a playoff game team having to deal with 100.000 fans at Texas, Penn St. or Ohio State. and Notre Dame at home? Cmon!!

I offered my blue plate special wager on this game and invited all to bet the ranch.

And no thank you’s.

I don’t think folks want to see Notre dame blow out the CUSA champion

We see it happen in the NCAA Bball tournament every year and it’s awesome. This CFP system is still in its infancy and it sucks.

Upsets happen.

Most didn’t expect us to beat Florida St. in the Peach Bowl.

Not many expected Tulane to beat USC in the Cotton Bowl.

Well then, the away team should try harder during the regular season so they can have home field advantage should they not get a bye.

This is blasphemous aldine. Just from watching the games on TV, it looked like an amazing game atmosphere at Happy Valley, Columbus, South Bend. You want to take that away? That’s what makes CFB so special. Imagine if we got to host a game? I would be ecstatic. If only we could have a game atmosphere like them…
If teams want to complain about it being too cold, well man up son.

I guess the NFL wild card games should all be held at neutral sites too then.

The NFL deals with it.

I noticed you have a track record. A lot of things you advocate for, like turning down the Big 12 for the Pac 12, disliking the light blue uniforms among other things, seems that going with the opposite of what you want works out.

Hosting these playoff games in campus has been a HUGE success. This is what makes College Football special.

This right here!! On the flip side, can you imagine all of the complaining because we didn’t have many fans travel to a neutral site or even multiple neutral sites in consecutive weeks? This is the way to do it.

Haven’t seen the TV ratings yet.

How did they fare head to head against the NFL games that were on?

ESPN has financial reasons to promote the SEC more than any other conference. Herbstreit and Finebaum are the chief promoters of SEC supremacy. They are hardcore Barnum & Bailey hucksters for anything and everything SEC. Kirk does love him some Ohio State but he knows where his bread is buttered, especially as he gets older.

To that end, anything that Herbie or Finebaum says should be laughed at mercilessly as pure propaganda. They aren’t experts, they are PR agents.

What upsets happened yesterday? The home teams won by two or more scores
